ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Nat, the founder of Hello Hypopressives and a personalised hypopressives trainer dedicated to helping women rebuild their core strength and pelvic floor health.
But my journey into this work began with my own experience.
After the birth of my second daughter, I was diagnosed with a prolapse, and overnight everything changed. I was told to stop exercising and to avoid lifting – which, as you can imagine, was incredibly difficult with a newborn and a toddler!
I felt devastated and overwhelmed. I was told there was nothing I could do except wait for surgery one day.
But I refused to accept that answer.
Determined to find a way to regain my strength and feel like myself again, I began searching for support. That search eventually led me to hypopressives, and discovering this method completely changed my life.
Through hypopressives, I was able to rebuild my strength, support my pelvic floor, and return to movement with confidence. Gradually my symptoms improved, and for the first time since my diagnosis, I felt empowered in my body again.
Hello Hypopressives was born from that journey.
I created it so that other women never have to feel as lost, unsupported, or powerless as I once did. Today, I work with women at all stages of life – from postpartum to menopause and beyond -helping them
reconnect, strengthen their core and support their pelvic floor.
Because every woman deserves to feel strong, confident, and supported in her body.
HYPOPRESSIVES TECHNIQUE
Hypopressives are a specialised breathing and postural method designed to reduce pressure in the abdomen while activating the deep core muscles.
This method helps:

Improve pelvic floor function

Reduce symptoms of heaviness or leaking

Support prolapse management

Restore abdominal tension postpartum

Enhance performance in lifting and running

Improve breathing efficiency and spinal alignment
HOW IT WORKS
The technique combines three core elements:
Postural Alignment
Proper posture helps position the body so the diaphragm and core muscles can function efficiently.
Breath Control
Slow, controlled breathing prepares the body and engages the deep abdominal muscles.
A breath hold with rib expansion known as an apnea or vacuum.
During a breath hold, the rib cage expands and the diaphragm naturally lifts upward, creating space and activating the deep core.
Stronger Bodies. Restored Confidence. Real Women's Stories.
FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS
Who are hypopressives for?
Hypopressives can benefit women at many stages of life, including postpartum recovery, women experiencing pelvic floor symptoms such as leaking or prolapse, and those navigating perimenopause or menopause. They are also extremely valuable for active women and athletes who want to strengthen their core safely.
Can hypopressives help pelvic floor dysfunction?
Hypopressives are designed to activate the deep core and support the pelvic floor while reducing abdominal pressure. Many women find this approach helpful for improving pelvic floor function and reducing symptoms such as pressure, pain or leaking.
What exercises are safe with prolapse?
Exercises that reduce downward pressure on the pelvic floor while strengthening the deep core can be beneficial. Hypopressives focus on posture, breathing, and core activation to support the body safely.
Can exercise help prolapse?
Specific exercises can help support the pelvic floor and improve symptoms. Techniques like hypopressives have been found to offer relief from everyday symptoms of prolapse.
Why do I leak when I run, jump or exercise?
Leaking during exercise can happen when the pelvic floor muscles and deep core are not working together effectively. Hypopressives help restore this connection, supporting women to return to movement with more confidence.
Can the pelvic floor be strengthened after menopause?
Yes. While hormonal changes during menopause can affect pelvic floor strength, targeted techniques like hypopressives, support breathing, posture, and deep core activation can help rebuild strength and improve pelvic support at any stage of life.
Is this safe if I've recently had a baby?
Hypopressives can be a gentle and supportive way to rebuild strength after birth. Sessions are personalised and adapted depending on your stage of recovery and your body’s needs.
Do I need to be fit or experienced with exercise?
Not at all. Hypopressives are suitable for women at all fitness levels. Sessions are personalised so that movements and techniques are tailored to you and your body.
What happens in a session?
During your session we will work through breathing techniques, postures, and gentle exercises designed to activate the deep core and support the pelvic floor. Each session is personalised to your goals and symptoms.
How long does it take to see results?
Many women begin to notice changes in how their body feels within a few weeks of consistent practice. Improvements often include better core connection, reduced pressure symptoms, and increased confidence in movement.
How do I get started?
The best place to start is with a personalised session where we assess your goals, symptoms, and movement patterns. From there we create a plan to help you rebuild strength and confidence in your body.
